Headed out from the Crocker launch around 3:30pm with my brother, hoping to finally catch a muskie.
We drifted from 11 fow to 9 fow, and casted believers and a swimming joe. I finally felt one of our lakes gems attempt to destroy my swimming joe, and the fight was on. The fight was suprisingly weak, until we made eye contact... You could see in his eye that he was toying with me, and then the battle was on! I am happy i outfitted myself with musky gear, this fish put an amazing bend in my rod. I was happy to be able to take my picture next to such an amazing creature. The muskie measured out to be just over 44 inches, but was a healthy 60 in my eyes! My brother managed to land 3 largemouths ranging from 17 - 19 inches, and we had one other mid 40s follow. Thanks to EVERYONE who ever posted anything on this site about muskie, you guys planted the seed that got me out there casting, now I am hooked for life!

Congrats! Nice job on the Muskie and other fish. One Muskie makes for a very productive day of fishing. Only drawback is another guy hooked and more competition.

Tight lines!

those things can take a beating. they get some good slice marks in em but that's about it. they don't fall apart near as easy as like the kickin minnow. youl get to use that one planty more. good color too

Congrats,ITS all over now.I bet you were satisfied with bass fishing before, that has changed. You will be broke now, every year I try to tell myself I am all set for musky tackle, just got a new ST.CROIX rod for throwing pounders and it is over 8',will not even fit in the rod locker.I'v got it bad.I seen a picture of Will Schultz's collection of dogs.If it is a good bait for this guy it is a good bait.

Then when i explain that its barely even a keeper, and it really blows peoples minds. Now i need to start working harder so i can make more money, I have alot of gear to buy!
