I looking for some first ice options, Love getting out as soon as its safe. Havn't had much sucess early season. Once the water clears up I have done ok, but the early season and low visability has me guessing. Canals ? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks Smile Food Jacket Tableware Seafood

I know a good bluegill lake that always freezes up first because its so small but the gills and crappie are pretty nice size. Im normally on it before x mas. Its on state land so it is public. pm me if you want the name and location

Thanks, I was out at bburg early last season and got a few small ones. It wasn't until the water cleared before there was any size to them. Susan Lake and Dixie lake in clarkston had skim ice over 80% this morning,. won't be long!!!!
