What do you guys do when you catch a fish from deep water & the fish spits up it's swim bladder?

One of the walleye me & my buddy caught last night spit up it's swim bladder. We would have kept the fish but it was 14 3/4" (MI side).

idk whats suppose to be done in that situation, but id prolly keep him, but then again,,,,, ive always believed that some other fish will end up eating it. im assuming the detroit river? 15" minimun.

how about a fizzer? well i guess my question is: would a fizzer help at all if the fish already spit up the swim bladder? or is it to late?

If you are going to catch and immediate release those fish I have read that the best way to square them away is to rig up some type of rig that will take them back to the bottom with a release....You will have to research it, I am not sure of any designs or setups..

Usually the fish will swim on it's own if you release them soon enough without any first aid.
