I am looking at the Garmin 168 as a possible purchase for this year. It comes with FHS hotspots mapping to load but I have some (little) experience with the BlueChart map system.
Has anyone out there had good or bad experiences with the Garmin 168? If you used them, was the FHS hotspots good? better or worse than the BlueChart?
If you have time, please let me know. I'm not buying it for at least a few weeks.
Thanks, Tim J.

The 168 is a good choice but if you can afford the the 188 you'l probaly like it more. ( you can puchase a memory card with the Blue Chart already on it.) If you are only going to fish the Great Lakes and St.Clair go for the Blue chart but if you fish alot of the inland lakes that have Hot Spot maps already, its a great mapping system to use with the paper maps.
I used the 188 last year with the Hots Spots and it worked great! The Blue Charts have a little better detail.
