Whatever floats your boat. I'm not against them nor for them. They are part of our world and I like everybody no matter what their personal sexual preference is.....but, I don't think they need to be married. That is something you do in front of God and I don't think he likes gay marriages......

I do think after living together after so many years they can screw each other out of everything they have just like the rest of the selfish people out there do. You would think after being with someone, no matter how hard it hurts, why would you want to take everything they have just to satisfy your own selfish needs?

3crabs.....kindly just playing devils advocate here...
but what if God wasn't opposed to gay marriages? ... If you can accept 2 people of the same sex together as a couple - why not the ceromony?... I guess I'm just questioning the bringing in "Gods wishes" aspect, when being gay together would be acceptable, but in Gods eyes, living together in sin - regardless of sex, would that not be unaccepatable??... so why not the ceremony???...

Splinegrinder.... not questioning your living circumstances by any means .... but doesn't your post come across somewhat contradictorary??? ... morally opposed.. yet you yourself choose to live your life for what suites it best.... even if its not and I quote "Gods way" ... you've made "his/hers/its way" work for you ... knowing this you specifically felt you needed to state "before you judge me" ... so then, why should we judge others?

... enjoy the day all !!!... in gayness or not, in mariage or not....have tons of sex and be happy... this is your one life to make the best of it!...

I think it will make the cost of health insurance go up, if men or women can add a same sex partner to there policy employer’s wont be happy at all so they will just pass the cost to everyone else in form of co pays and deductibles.

QUOTE(splinegrinder @ Feb 8 2004, 07:01 AM)OK you open minded people my turn.
NO NO NO NO NO.Morally opposed.
Is the Federal Gov. going to reconize the Mass.
marriages so they can get the marriage penalty
tax wise or are they getting the best each way
married benefits and single tax rates.
One of the reasons were are not married is because
were better off as 2 single people tax wise.
And before you jump on me about not being married
and morals I believe were more comitted to each other
in Gods eyes than most people with the piece of paper
it`s been 14 years.
just wondering do you really save that much in tax not being married? tax man?? your in put on this.

C-Devil
(couldn't resist), The real 3crabs asked why I didn't answer the question and I was like
!

Here I am now.....My response was partially a smarty pance one as well as feelings on the subject...........Guess my answer to your question is: Looks like we are all sinners....might as well enjoy it

Let's face it, this is a deep question brought up for other reasons than the real question itself (if that makes sense to you folks)...........Our society has changed and will continue to change and I'm sure gay marriages will be more excepted and will become more common in the future.

I remember the first time I saw a female priest at a friends wedding. Talk about shocking! Now there are more of them.......I don't recall reading or hearing of them in the bible or at church while growing up.

I can also remembering my very Catholic friend's mother fighting with her because birth control pills were not excepted by the Catholic Church! They changed their minds on that, finally!

Really, who is right and who is wrong? Do churchs really have the right to tell us what is and what isn't a sin....You have to wonder....

I think Pandora's Box just opened

I have no problem with this, but I would have an issue if it were to be done in a Christian Church. It is not in the BIBLE that this is the way of life. Marriage is stated for pro creation. A bond between man and woman as one to create.

But marriage by justice of peace ect....that is fine.

JUST MY .02

Owe by the way, nice topic...

You took the words right out of my mouth.

Gay marriages in, a church, before God, don't sit right with me.

But if they want to go to the JoP and be legally married, good for them.

I don't have a problem with gays wanting to get married..

I hope that their really happy...

I don't think that the church would accept a gay marriage??

And, if your gay please don't keep on throwing it up in my
face that your gay because I don't care.. Personally I get
tired of hearing about gays always having to have parades
because their gay... Is there such a thing as a straight parade? Sorry, I changed the topic..

Gays, get married and enjoy your life together..
But, what happens when they adopt a child?? Hmm, here I go again...

Yeah, get married...
