wow, I'll have to take a look at that. That seems like a great price. I wonder if there's a minimum number of windows though. I only need 1 done.

We had ours done when a guys was going around....

Can't remember the guys name....

Keep in mind...per the fire code if you ever plan on finishing the basement...you need an egress window.

We didn't know that so we'll never finish the basement

A what?

I'm assuming its an easily removable window, but do you need to have that little pit dug around the window too?

How many do you need done? I have a friend that does it, a man of many talents
. He lives right in New Baltimore and he's good. I just got off the phone with him and he said if you're interested, he'll come over and give you an estimate.

Let me know

If anyone is interested in an estimate you can call my friend.

George Gray 810-814-2103 (he told me i could just post his number)

He does beautiful work! I've seen it myself. His prices are reasonable too. He also has pictures of other work that he has done.

For anyone that tried to call George about glass blocks:
He lost his phone the night i posted this. He had to get a new one and didn't have any of the old #'s. We all know the drill. Well, as it turned out, one of my ferrets stole it and i found it, along with mine <_< .
I gave it back to him and he's worked out the glitches of sym cards....bla, bla, bla

Anyway, if you're still interested in a quote feel free to call the number i listed above.

Thanks,
Dookie

Every place I called had a $150 minimium. I just payed $180 for two windows one with a vent and the other with a dryer vent but they charged me extra for one old one to be knocked out. I had one existing one that I wanted a dryer vent in and I went with a nicer style. They are all very close to the same price so I went with the ones who could come out the next day ! They are right east of groesbeck on cass, don't remember the name off hand. ?

QUOTE(EDBDBOAT @ Jun 3 2005, 12:57 PM)I did ours myself, no big deal. It took me a Saturday afternoon to do 4 windows including demo of the old ones.

there's a wholesaler in Warren area who has great prices.

Whats the name of the place in Warren? I was going to install my own but once I found out the price of the windows, it was almost cheaper to have someone else install them. Did you cement or caulk them in place?
