The Fridge at Waterford Oaks is decent but far for you. Lamphere Hill is the best I know of, as Stodge said...

I thought I heard that closed down. Not positive, but I would look into it before making the trip.

We went last year to a hill near/behind the Clinton Twp offices on Romeo Plank between Clinton River Rd. and Cass... can't remember if we found info online or not, so not sure if it's open now/this year... it was a small hill but was pretty fun for the kids.

China Park between St Clair and Marine City.

Hines Drive between Inkster Rd. and Middlebelt we used to call it deadmans. We were not allowed there when I was a kid but my brother and I hitch hiked there one day. I went down the side you were not supposed to go down and hit a tree.

I swear I had cracked ribs and internal bleeding but we couldn't tell my parents because the punishment for going would have been worse then the internal bleeding. I hid the black and blue marks and they never found out. Before my dad dies I think I will make him a list.

This was just in the paper, new park, off Gratiot, north of 32 Mile.

County opens new sledding hill at Columbus Township park
St. Clair County Parks announces the opening of the new sledding hill at Columbus County Park (snow permitting) at 1670 Bauman Road, Columbus Township.

The new lighted sledding hill features a 70-foot run for beginners and a 150-foot run for more experienced sledders. Adult supervision is required for children under 12 years old.

The sledding hill is open daily 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. Sledding is allowed only in the designated area and sledding is not allowed when the park is closed. Users are asked to obey all posted signs and sled at their own risk.

In addition to the sledding hill, the park is open for cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Trails are not groomed for downhill skiing.

To access the sledding hill and trails, park visitors should use the new entrance on Bauman Road.

I know the hill on HInes you are talking about. They used to have the police "guard" that hill, but everyone would sneek on the hill anyway. During the summer it had a different purpose.

It is an official sled hill though I took my daughter down it about 20 years ago. It still had stairs and a hand rail a couple years ago. I wonder if it's still open.

When we were in high school, a long time ago, we would go to the toboggan runs in Rouge Park. Joy Rd. and Lahser near Spinoza. Booze, weed and a steep hill makes for lots of fun.

Now I want to go sledding.

and, now we know your weaknesses~booze, weed and a steep hill!

We used to go to Adam's Hill (what we called it) on/near the south side of Bald Mountain. Ever use a truck inner-tube? omg~talk about spinning down hill and out of control!
I was always the last one on~

Used to go to Yates, too.....just stay off the train track crossing the river!

We go up to Sylvan Glen golf course/park near Camp Ticonderoga....but, my girls have passed the sledding days and now ski and snowboard.

Where is Lamphere Hill located? I've heard of it before, but don't know exactly where it's at.

Great suggestions everyone, thank you!!!
