My Dad is in MI on business and was going to be here Thursday, but I told him if he could make it today we could get him ona muskie. He's caught one before, and it was a 35/37 or so and thin. He wanted a "fatty." I've had a great year with several fish in the high 40's. I just wanted one today for him. We fished most of the day and it wasn't looking good. I felt bad having told him earlier I was confident we'd get him on a fish. Sunset comes and goes, and he asks if it's time to go in. I said, "heck no, we've got another hour to go!" Ten minutes later, there's all kinds of commotion in the back of the boat and FISH ON!!!

Ended up being a "fatty" 41 and all smiles for Dad.

Took a plastic in 9' of water.

Great story, nice fish.
I took my dad salmon fishing years ago, and he got a nice salmon,
He was so proud of that fish, it brought him memories for a long time.
He's gone now but I remember it like it was yesterday, and cherished the time we had.
Good goin on getting dad that big one, and making memories.

Way to go, that looks like a real beauty, with a big head, and your dad looks stoked, what an AWESOME memory and story.
