I am headed to Grand Bend this weekend with Blondestreak and we heard there is some crazy construction on the way down there.

Anybody know of some detours that we can take?

Any help would be great!

Dawn,

Take the St. Clair River north, go under the Blue Water Bridge, then head North East once in Lake Huron for about an hour. Watch out for the shallow spot with rocks (forgot name).

Sorry, we only go by boat!

Have fun, a bunch of us might be there the end of August.

Kettle Point . . . risky only in big waves!

Another suggestion for those land bound take one of the Ferries in Marine City or Algonac. We've been back & forth many times this year & the Blue Water Bridge can have HUGE BACKUPS!!

Good tip, I just spoke someone who crossed the BW bridge last weekend and they were stuck in traffic coming back to the states for over two hours [/QUOTE]
