Just wondering how many of you will be over here for the Grand this weekend? Fishing seems to be fair. I am getting very good reports from the anglers on muskegon and macatawa for all those looking to run.

I'll be there, riding B#%^ though. This tournament as a co-angler will be interesting. I will have to pack a lot more stuff to be ready for how the boater plans to fish. At least in St. Clair and Erie, you cut your tackle down to the smallmouth stuff only.

This will actually be my first time on the Grand and I am curious to see what it's like.

I'll be there. Going for the win on this one. I have several areas with good fish. I am staying in Holland and may try the Mac during pre-fish on Friday. I just hate running out of the river with that Coast Gaurd thing going on and now we have a new no wake zone to add to the mix.
Well if you draw me you only need:
Worms
Senkos/Tiki Sticks/Yum Dingers
Spinners baits
Buzz Baits
Shallow Cranks
Jigs
Carolina rigs
and
Spooks or Pop R's

How many pounds will it take to be in the money?
I'll be going no idea of where to go. Last time I was there all the weeds were killed in one of the lakes that I have fished before. Will be the day for the co-angler, to run the show hope he is a local.

I'll be there as co-angler and hopefully draw somebody that has a clue on the wake zones and navigating the river. Been over there a few times, can get ugly. Not mention getting run over in the no wake zones

I'm sure some will run otherwise it's a flip/pitch fest

Anybody going to Grand Traverse ?
LOL

Weather should be nice, NW Winds around 10 mph. That should put a few waves on Lake Michigan

I haven't been on the river yet this year. I will be there friday. If you see a bright blue Triton that KVD fished in the classic, that will be me. Then at least you will know where the fish are not! It will probably take 9lbs to get a check on the Boater side. See you all there. John- call me sometime.

I haven't even put line on my reels yet, until I find out what we're fishing. It will be a late night stringin' poles and packing tackle. I hope it isn't like the last tournament where we were supposed to fish deep water around Pelee all day and ended up fishing shallow largemouths in the river by 10:30am. Then by the time I got some poles switched over, we were headed back out to Erie.

JCooper - You drivin' a Verado powered classic boat?? Or just a 225opti observers boat? Just curious how the Verado is.

I will be there as a boater. I spent a little time on Mac and the Grand last weekend. The water level is a lot better on the Grand. If boat traffic on Spring is as bad a last weekend, it is going to be mass chaos. I think we need to talk to the director or someone at FLW Outdoors to get this tournament date changed. And also change the launch to the one just west of the bridge in the channel going to Lake Michigan. It takes almost an hour to get from Riverside Park to Lake Michigan. Good luck to everyone going. It doesn't take much to get a check there.
