figure 8 at the boat!!Went out with my grandson this morning and we fished a good number of hours for the amount of fish we caught. We went up the Sni for a ways then took the Snake Hwy, cut into Goose Bay. Fished the Doty Hwy. while we were in the area as well. My grandson has been really trying to catch his first ever pike. Last year, he had a good one hooked and it actually jumped out of the net and got away! LOL
Today, he not only got his first pike ever, but he caught two of them today. Both too small to keep. He had one attach his lure that he was using and that one was a huge pike, but the fish missed the lure then took off, but at least we saw him when he attached the lure right next to the boat on a retrieve.
Sure was a beautiful day out today. Had a great relaxing day with my grandson out in my boat, but did not get enough fish to bring home for a meal, but to me, catching fish is just a "bonus" to the fishing trip. The memories are #1.
