Just thought I would comment on the great fishing I enjoyed on my stay at Mitchells Bay from 7/15 - 7/20. Caught fish everyday on tubes,grubs,spinnerbaits...but would have to say that the best time was throwing a Jerkbait [4 1/2 " Suspending Rattlin Rogue in Black Back / Silver Bottom]. Went out to the huge sandbar just outside the Indian Stake Boundry and fished the isolated weeds beds in 9-8 ft. of water, when the wind died down and caught 8 smallmouth [2 1/2lbs - 3lbs.] on 8 consecutive casts with the jerkbait. I have never had such fun in my life watching those bronzeback, 2 to 3 at a time following that bait and then have one of them annililate it !!! Lk. St. Clair is definitely the best lack I have ever fished so far !
