(if you want more fancy, let me know. i have list.)
and then there's vfw halls that would be a lot more cost effective. how about a friend who has a huge yard? you could rent a tent (from the p-29s) and really do it up cool for the price of hall rental.
you could also rent out the tradewinds at jack's. it fits about 40 or so people and has full food & beverage (drinks) service.

The owners of the Vintage House (Henry & Mary) are LONG time friends of my parents. They have WONDERFUL food.
The Mirage
(I am working on a deal with them for LSCN Sponsorship...I am sure they would give you a great deal. PM me if you are interested and I will talk to the owner.)
We placed a tent with tables and chairs on our back acre and had my daughters wedding shower on our property. That day it was 95 degrees and thank God there was a slight breeze. It was cost effective for the father of the bride. However, we did all the cooking and such and purchased roast beef at a German butcher in Grosse Pointe.. It was a nice day...

If I had an outside wedding I would show up by hose and carrage and have the groom flown in then maybe jump on a cruise ship and keep parting. I love the whole "grand enterance" thing.
I love to be original.
