Well tomorrow I hit the road and make my way to lake champlain for a week. Built 6 rods (all star blanks) for my trip. and now i am ready to break them in. Hope you all have good luck on the water this weekend.

Gregg

ps. Mini, try and get yourself a "tops and Tails" titanium rod. I think you will love the action of it.

I have one in my samples. I used it in TX on the gulf for tops and tails fishing for trout and reds. Nice action for that, but I find it to be a little wimpy for my taste unless throwing small topwater baits.

Good luck on Champlain....give us a shout and report when you get back.

Mini,

I will send in periodic reports (only if they are good). I actually did a tops and tails blank and make it into a spinning rod for tubes. I do like the feel of that rod. you cetainly work for a quality company mini.

Alex,

I go up there once a year with my dad and my brother and some of Dad's friends. 12 Hrs on the water per day for 6 days. It should be fun. They are calling for good weather and the northern part of the lake is in the low to mid 50's
