Welcome Aboard!! nice. thats your first? thats not a boat. thats a yacht in my book.
This would be my first. I have been fishing on my fathers 19' Four Winns all my life with him chasing Walleye all over the state but never tried so in Lake St. Clair. Any ideas where I should put the boat in at? I'm at 15 mile and Groesbeck so I was thinking maybe the Harley Ensign landing? The Selfridge landing looked a little small/shallow and having no experience with a large boat I'd like to have some room.
Welcome to the site. Yes, the Harley site would definitely be a better choice for you than the Selfridge DNR. One you learn to handle the boat better after a few times launching/retrieving it,the Selfridge site will work for you as would the launch at Metro Park at 16 & Jefferson. With a boat of that size, you are probably going to rent a slip somewhere I would think, but I see those 30 footers getting towed around the lake pretty often as well.
