Flight from hell ended at 5.00 p.m after 12 straight hours of travel. Overbooked and rerouted through Amsterdam, Frankfurt to Bilbao. Rental agency closed because arrived too late on a Sat. SOB´s charged my credit card for the whole week too. Checked in at Hotel and did the 3 s´s Sh--t, shower and shave. Felt almost human again. Went on a walk around town, tomorrow will be really special, can feel it. Amazing architecture, air is fresh clean mountain air. In the mountains and seeing all the spanish/moorish architecture is amazing since i´m used to seeing it in desert surroundings. People are friendly beyond belief. All are singing and yelling in the bars. It´s like a country of LSCNers---------now that´s creepy. Had a good dinner with the first decent espresso in 3 months. Don´t wanna chew gum, just totally enjoying the coffee breath and getting ready to go upstairs and fall flat on my face.

Take care all!!
Mike

Doing an audit for Ford of our company in Vitoria-Gasteiz. Just happened to save the company a boatload if I stay for a couple extra days!! You know those airline flight schedules!!

I just finished my walking tour of Vitoria and can officially say that Ive seen all this place has to offer. Had a beer and coffee at the town square and at an Irish Pub. Went to the Rail station to make my plans for tomorrow to travel to Burgos. Looking forward to it because it is offficially considered another region of Spain. Saw all of the old town, mideval buildings, churches and towers very cool with the moorish architecture. Saw a really cool wall which was painted with revolutionary propaganda. Said "TOURIST, YOU ARE IN THE BASQUE COUNTRY!!! THIS IS NOT SPAIN OR FRANCE!!! " "Free the Basque Country"!! Peaked my interest imediately and I remembered that just a year ago a few folks were blown up in this city. Going back to take a picture tomorrow and will give to my brother to blow up into something to hang on the wall. Picked up some nuts that look like Buckeyes for some special friends from 100 year old trees. Took some melatonin tablets last night and didn´t wake up till about 11:30 today but really needed the sleep. Hard to believe when I think of Mexico, but Spain is a very rich country with some of the nicest shopping districts in europe. People remind me of Italians and have a very nice style in the clothes and habits. Very cultured people.

Tomorrow waking up early to travel to Burgos for the day. Meet with colleagues tomorrow night and work from Tues. - mid Weds. Then free time until sunday!!

Careful! I believe it is illegal to bring agricultural products into the U.S.A. You could be fined if you are caught by customs...

Mike...GREAT to hear you are enjoying yourself...so what about the hotties there?

Stay safe
Good to hear from you. Have fun and be safe!
Day two from Burgos down. Rolled out of bed and hit the train station. Got to Burgos and started walking my a$$ off at about 8:30. Went from then until 2:00 got back on a train and came back to Vitoria. Got some great pics of the cathedrals and the local architecture. Random note: I know that the place is supposed to be reknowned for it´s lamb chops but my grandma makes better ones. How come I can roll my but out of bed at 6 to travel somewhere but I lay in bed for about an hour before taking a shower when i have to go to work??

Local flavor - Cannot say that they are appreciably better looking than american women or any others. Have noticed a propensity for flabby buttedness. But spanish women have that one thing in common with all european women------They don´t cake on the makeup and even if they aren´t that hot the unhot ones still seem to think they are and act it. In my book attitude always = sexy!! Colleagues coming into town tonight. Working for the next two days then 4 days of f-ing off.

Writing on the computer because this place virtually shuts down until about 9:30 pm when everyone goes out to dinner.

5:30. 6 hour difference all day all night!! Hope all is well. Keeping my eyes open for some good non-cheesy stuff. Probably find the goods in San Sebastian. Also stopping in a¨"Necropolis" I discovered. That if people don´t know is an actual city of the dead. Saw some pics looks totally creepy and I can´t wait to get creeped out. Getting good pics and will get some more.

Work day down. Spent the day auditing and ripping up someone else´s work. Can´t wait til my turn in the barrel (it´s coming up) But by then Eddie will be working with me and I´ll make him do the barrel
Bring the lube eddie!!!

Only good thing to happen today is that I found out that I now have to go to Slovakia to do an audit there before the end of the year since they are using the same process as us. Bratislava here I come Cha-ching!!

Might be cutting the trip a day or two short and coming home early, Maybe Friday, think I can see the rest I want and wanna get home now that I have some motivation. Finally going to get a decent meal tonight, since we have a guide to take us downtown and show us the ropes. Not that easy here!! Gotta intensify the spanish studies.

Ciao folks!!
