Nuh uh! Mine comes from Grosse Ile, so it already comes with a hoity-toity nose in the air attitude, so it will fit in better at Mac N' Rays
Yours come with more of a "taylor-tucky" personality to it

What's "taylor-tucky" about a James Bond jet boat? Heck you have to hold a martini glass to drive it.
Ok, why is it that boats lenghts are different for the same model. We have a 1991 Searay 280 Sundancer, so you would think it would be about 28ft long, right? Yet the LOA is 31' 11". And when our boat to other 280's, our seems bigger and wider. Not complaining, but why the differences? Why call it a 280?
QUOTE(Mini @ Jun 15 2009, 06:09 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Used to be that swim platforms and bow pulpits were considered in OAL. I think the NMMA did away with that years ago....maybe 1995?
If the pulpit / platform is molded in, it is considered part of the "official" length. If bolt-on, it is not counted. Marketing (and model designations) are whatever they want to dream up.
QUOTE(Stodge @ Jun 16 2009, 08:09 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Rinker is the same way. Our 280 is 30' 2" overall. Add on the swim platform and it's even longer.
QUOTE(Soo Sassy @ Jun 16 2009, 08:12 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Ours is the same way, it's a 30' but it's about 32' overall.
So how did you vote
I went with 28 rather than 32. Although it was tempting to be in the next category.
