Just curious, I try to get down there once a month or so to check up on my boat... Make sure the shrink wrap is doing its job, no on stole the outdrive.... give it a hug and tell her I miss her.

My dad's boat is right next to mine, so between the two of us we can keep an eye out for one another...

I havn't visted it since I winterized and pulled my batteries mid October.
probably won't visit until ready to pull shrink wrap.
I assume the best.

I trailer mine, so it's in my back yard. It's cool cuz, I get to get into it a little early in the spring to work on getting it ready with little projects. Or like Tango 7, get in there to drink a beer and wish I was in the bay.

I try to get out to her at least once a month and after snowstorms, ice storms or major bad weather. Make sure everything is as I left it from last visit and shrinkwrap is holding her own. Also gives me ideas or reminders of what I need to do before she can get wet again.

I am okay on the drive to the lot, but then get butterflies in my stomach as I come around the corner, fearing that I will find her laying onher side with several other boats, or a hole in the hole from the stand, drives missing, shrink gone with 2' of snow on the desk, ect... I dont breath easy until I have done the walk around and everyting is good.

Mine is at Schmid's in New Baltimore and I drive by every night so I check on it nearly every evening until they close off the section of the storage yard it's in. Then I stop by every weekend until they lock the gate into the whole marina. Then I park and walk in every couple of weeks or after any big storm. I build a rack and cover the boat with canvas each year so I'm always concerned the rack may fall apart or the canvas rip - I've been pretty lucky so far but I like to check on it just the same.

I'm at Sassy Marine in Algonac. I can't get in until mid February, but after that I am there every weekend. I put in my new radar last winter and was all ready when the weather FINALLY broke last spring. Sassy can get a "little" dusty so I put plastic over the boat this year. Will be out there waxing and cleaning so she is ready to go in May. Until then, I have some great screen savers on my work and home computers of the fun last summer!!

My boat is also at Sassy's inside. Went into storage in early October and have slipped away from work during the week a few times to wax the hull and have it restriped. Inside Sassy is only about $300 more that outside and you can take a peek now and then and be ready for an April in the water.
