Not sure how this will go over, but i had to throw it out there. I always have more fun at Muscamoot than at Gull. Seems like there's less trouble too.

I'll let the powers that be decide whether to turn this suggestion into a poll?

I say that every weekend at the moot... It's funny I took a friend to the raft up saturday and she had only ever been to Jobbie on the lake before, she said "this is so much more fun than that"...

She ended up coming back to the moot on sunday with us and she has a completely different view of fun on the lake now, she thought everything was like Jobbie...

The only thing is I don't think you would want J2 associated with The Raft...The Raft is family oriented, J2 is not. This Raft idea is starting out as a very positive thing, and I hope that nothing tarnishes that. It might be better to let J2 stay on Gull. My 2 cents

I'm wondering if boaters/opportunists (those who accept $$) will be less inclined to ferry those types of people if there's not an island to simply dump them off on? The people with no boat and no boaters repsonsible for them are usually the ones causing trouble. Nothing to lose. Maybe this fact is 90% of what makes the Moot what it is?

I agree though - i wouldn't want anything to tarnish the Raft's or the Bay's good rep so far...

Can ya tell I feel strongly about this too!!! We had at
least 8 or 10 boats in the Tot Lot area at the Raft....There
is no friggin way I would bring kids to Jobbie Nooner!!!

Good point Eddie. I often think regarding weekends in the Moot, "wow, there are sooooo many people that have no idea how cool this is". Maybe its better that way!

Although the bay unfortunately gets its fair share of trash (bottles, etc) on a normal Moot day.. if J2 is at the bay alot of the extra trash that ends up on the island would probably end up on our treasured bottom.

I guess you didn't see the lezzy show giving beaver shots off the top of the Zman boat, I thought that wasn't going to be tolerated for the raft and any lewed behavior and you would be asked to leave the raft????? Not knowing that was going on until we walked by, my buddies 13 year old sure got an eyeful.

It was very cool without all of the idiots. I'll pick the moot over gull anyday though. There are reasons and it should just stay that way. Leave the dummies on Gull!

I second that. There were way too many kids there on Sat. to be doing that s.h.i.t.
If you can't control what goes on on your boat, than don't let people on your boat in the first place!
