Well sorry for the late report. Fished Sun. behind Harbor 9 on LSC and got a nice mess of perch using swedish pimples and minnows. Also seen 1 walleye iced. All the perch were over 9" with the largest at 12". The ice conditions are bad to say the least
(in the marinas) the ice is honeycombed all the way down. My advice is get the boat and the soft water gear ready. We'll be jigging in the river real soon. Take care.~~~~~~~~~><> AL

Good advice....I cant remember the ice getting so bas so quick. I would not advise anyone to be out there now.....

The ice season is over. Went out from Gino's Sunday morning. Going out was OK But coming in at noon was a little dicey. Had trouble finding a place to cross two of the pressure cracks. Thought I was going for a swim at one point. Back at the parking lot I ran into two guys who had been fishing in front of Metro Beach in 4 to 5 fow. Both of them ended up going through the ice twice.
It's time for those of us who walk upon the water to relinquish the lakes to the boaters and skiers and swimmers. But look for us to return in December (All I want for Christmas is 4 inches of safe ice).
Do It On The Ice...Next Season!
