An apparent ice jam somewhere further up in the St Clair River has caused water levels in Lake St Clair and surrounding rivers to drop nearly a foot almost overnight. This occurred a few days ago. Marina's that have boats in the water with bubbler's are having to hand chop ice as a lot of the bubbler's were frozen on top of the water or are longing pushing enough water to be effective when the levels dropped a few days ago. Although nothing as great as the pics of the freighter stuck, here is a good pic showing such a change. Taken monday, about 10:15am
