Idle speculation... can anyone rack a 40' boat in the Harrison Twp

I'm pretty Beacon can't do anything that big - anyone from there north that might be able to handle something that goes 40' and 12K lbs?

Call Anchor Bay Marina, I know they have a couple 42 Fountains and a 51 Outerlimits on the racks now.

I think Beacon Cove could do it on the outside racks. The weight isn't the issue, it's the turning width inside the building. The biggest they can handle inside is 32'.
Anchor Bay Marina.

I hear what you're saying, Wantsa, but I get a little nervous with my 33 1/2 & 10k lbs. teetering on the tips of the hi-lo...
I hadn't thought of Anchor Bay, I'll give them a call. Sassy said they can only do 30'.
Outerlimits on the forks..

Is that Wildthing's?
I think Wiggins makes different fork lengths + different models of lift trucks, both of which are factors in how much they can handle.
That is a sweet pic!
Hard to see how long the forks are in that picture; Beacon Cove's hi-los look shorter than the one pictured.
Interesting article from Wiggins' website - the money quote:

QUOTEBy the late 1990's a new generation of innovators had correctly predicted the need to store even larger boats. This led Wiggins‚ to design, what at that time, was thought to be the world's largest boat handling forklift, a Marina Bull‚ with a lift capacity of 37,500 lbs and a lift height of as high as 54 ft. This was just the beginning. Wiggins most recent effort has produced a Marina Bull‚ that will lift 52,000 lbs. and which easily handles and stacks a Luhrs 40 Convertible craft.

You may be suprised how much boat could actually hang off there safely! Do not ask how I know!

Define "safely"...

Just kidding. I trust the guys there and know something about physics and how most of the weight is in the back of the boat (and the back of the hi-lo). The sight has made some of my friends throw up in their mouths a little, though...

One of the BC lifts is a "Marina Bull" so I think our little 33 footers are under the limit.

They have two; the Bull does have longer forks and they use it for the bigger boats. As Christine said, all the weight is in the back so they are safe to lift. It does rock a bit as they are carrying the boat across the lot though !!!

Hey Wantsa. You're profile says your boat is named "Offshored". How come its not ON the boat??
