Can anyone recommend a lake in N. Ohio or N. Indiana to try for bass this time of year? The weather is suppose to be nice this coming weekend and I would like to get out (legally) for some bass fishing.

The ice is gone from the Grand River. I know that is your favorite spot of all time.

You can try the Lake James chain of lakes in Angola, IN or Hamilton Lake in Hamilton, IN. The Lake James chain has a pretty good supply of smallmouths. Hamilton is mainly largemouths.

 

[ABA]

Mosquito Lake in Northern Ohio is suppose to be awsome this time of year.

The ABA trail will be having an Open on this Lake on April 11.

So check it out and do some pre-fishing.

Membership is not required since it's an open.
