I'm heading up thurs thru sat. unless we get ran off by pleasure boaters before that. Any of you know cheap moderatly clean and most importantly safe places to stay the night and recharge. I don't want to have to shoot someone on my muskie outing. Heading out of I think New baltimore launch, if thats the north most launch. Hell, if you know of a place, I'll sleep in the truck and just plug in the boat. Too bad Wal-mart doesn't have outside plugs. Have any of you had luck casting for muskie at night? We figured Sat. will be packed with boaters so we thought about just fishing all night fri. into sat. morning then leaving by noon. Thanks in advance. Rusty
I fish at night alot. I usually hit it more during the heat of summer, but it's good any time. I usually try to concentrate my time during the weekdays when traffic is very low, but come July/August, I'll fish nights after work for the sake of heat.
There's a new Holliday Inn Express on Gratiot between M-59 and 21 Mile. Don't know their rates but I've seen quite a few rigs parked there this summer.
