Hello All,

I am not rigged up with a kicker or trolling motor and only have an 85HP Johnson to attempt trolling, so I was wondering if any of you have had luck drifting the Metro area this time of year. I am hoping to take my son out later this afternoon for the evening bite and was thinking of trying the water south of the spillway but was hoping to get some advice before heading out. If not, the wind should be perfect today for drifting in the river, so it's a tough choice.

Thanks for all of the great information and advice on this board! You guys are awesome to share and I hope to do the same this summer when I am fishing in my element.

PS Tried to edit the Topic line to correct grammar, but can't figure out how to do that. D'oh!

It should be fine as long as you can find where the fish are. I would try about ten foot for starters and then work in before i would work deeper. My two bucks worth. Catch a big one. Bob
