OK peeps, now it's time to start planning for the HCN July 3rd Barbecue. We can start the party around 6:00 and go until whenever.

First mark your calender and bring your bathing suit.

I do have live entertainment lined up, it's a new band called Surface. I thought it would be a good opportunity in a laid back atmosphere for them to showcase their talents in front of a great bunch of LSCN supporters.

1) Who would like to help coordinate?
2) Everyone bring a dish
3) Music other than live band (Fast~Eddie/Play it DJ?)
4) 50/50 Raffle (Convincor?)
5) Cleaning service (Capt'n Rob)

Slips are limited, PM me for request. Please state size and beam length. (No cost for slips)

Use this thread to help organize. If your going to bring something to the table post it here. Also, I ask the moderators to help update this post as we go along.

Please keep at the top.......

Another outdoor party, which means start praying for 85 and sunny!

I'm not volunteering to cook, but I can pick up some cheese, burgers and/or dogs + buns from Gordon's.

I'm sure some one will be bringing the Polish sausage
SO, let me know what would be best for me to pick up based on attendance......when ya get a chance

I'll let Boss know she needs to bring something.

Slips? I'm assuming that's for parking boats?

Should we have a couple cooks volunteering or should everyone cook their own?
Rob, I think it depends on what people are bringing for meat. If it's burgers and dogs, a couple kicks can take care of it. I for one though, don't want to be responsible for over-cooking someones 40 OZ. Porterhouse!

I will bring a dish to pass.

I think the self-service bar-b-quing is a good idea. That way you'll know if your burger gets dropped on the ground!!

OK that makes sense, everyone can make arrangements to barbecue their own meats and fish.

Who can put a list together of summer dishes that we can pull ideas from. Like:

Chips and Salsa
Veggy Tray
Fruit Tray
Cheese and Crackers
Jello Shots
Soaked Fruit
Dip

and so on.............

Just keep in mind that this stuff is going to be sitting out all evening, so we may not want anything that spoils easily, especially in the heat.

Snowbi ... I imagine some of us might have coolers and can get it out at different times of the night!

I'll try to stay on top of the list starting tomorrow Capt'n Rob -
merely trying to think with this hangover is a challenge in and of itself!

I'm not even sure if I can go yet, so I don't want to commit to bringing anything until I can get a sitter locked in......

I'm not positive we will make it, but if we do we'd like to make a macaroni salad or something along those lines. We're gonna need some idea of how many peeps to know how much to make, so as confirmations come in, please keep the numbers posted.

Self serve grilling is a great idea. That way no one's stuck on grill duty all day long.

I would avoid things that contain mayonaise unless you are going to be good about refrigerating everything.

I'll probably bring an oil-based pasta salad.

Just a suggestion.
We do have a full kitchen and refrigerator in the club house.

The number of people going will be decided by this thread.
Well, count us in!
