I do not understand how so many people can flock to an area in the desert heat (117 degrees today) and there is no friggin water around here! (well a little but these lakes are like ponds, and the hotel pools dont count).

Anyway, just wanted to pop in and say hi while I was checking my email at the ebay booth...lol

Hope everyone is doing good. I plan on being back in Michigan next week sometime....WITH MY BOAT!!!!!!

So how do you like that new Skeeter John? You know, next year they're going to strap on a 300hpdi on the back of that puppy don't you? I can't wait! A deep V that'll do 70mph! I should know how to run it pretty good by then. Say, we still on for next week? You name the day. I don't care about the species. I haven't been on Clair in over a month and I'm all itchie to do it. bass, muskie, walleye. . .hell. . .gills, crappie or perch is fine too.Lemme know. By the way, I'm heading out to your current location in September or October to take a tactial weapons training course
at a place called FRONT SIGHT. Going to take a little down time too so any tips on where to go to catch me some fish would be apprecated muchly so. Talk to you soon. B.

Ha, Ha - yeah, that Vegas weather is something, isn't it?

I had a cousin living there so a few years ago my wife and I called her while we were in town. She and her husband took us to see the "sights most tourists never see." That sounded good.

Well, we drove out into the damn desert for about 30 miles to a little stick-built community of shacks called Blue Diamond and there, under a scorching sun, my cousin said she and her husband would love to live in Blue Diamond but they could never afford it! These things looked like the cheesiest houses in my hometown of Hazel Park on tiny lots all crowded together out in the middle of the wasteland, desert there not being pretty but more like a construction sight here.

So I looked at my cousin and asked why she would want to live there so badly and she answered, dead serious, "Location!!"

This old marshrat was drying up like a prune and I begged her to get me back to a casino.
