I finally broke down and got some technology, and I have no idea how to use it. Can anyone tell me how to put songs I find on youtube onto it?

Thanks in advance

More info-what brand is it?
What software do you currently use for managing the music you have downloaded?

The only thing I can answer is brand. Sansa. I think what I need to do is put it in my music folder, but just don't know how that is done.

Did it come with any software to load on the puter? You should be able to connect the player to the puter with a USB cable and transfer your playlist to the device. Hook it up and see if it shows us as a hard drive in "My Computer"
I like "Media Monkey" it's free and works well for burning CD's or creating a playlist to transfer to the MP3 players.
I've never used a Sansa, but if it doesn't use propreitary software like I-tunes you should have no trouble getting your music on the player.

That's the problem. I don't know how to get any music into any folders. Insert beating head into wall icon here.

Google "Media Monkey" and download the free version.
After you download and install it click on file, then add/rescan tracks to library. It will find all the music and put it into folders by artist. Then create a playlist by dragging and dropping the tracks you want to put on the Sansa. Then drag your playlist to the drive letter for the Sansa.
Need more help, call me tomorrow

F**K TECHNOLOGY. I'm gonna give it to the kids at the radio station at work and tell them what I want on it, and drop off some drinks for them in exchange.

Just plug it in to the USB port on your computer and go to My Computer and look for a removable drive. You should not need software to add files to it. Most mp3 players that are not ipods are basically just removable drives.

Just drag and drop your mp3s or wma files onto the drive. You can organize using folders.

It may or may not recognize play lists. What model Sansa player?

Instead of play lists just use folders with your favorite songs in each folder.

As far as YouTube audio to mp3 do a Google search for YouTube audio ripper.

If you supply the model I can be of a little more help.

Download songs from a site like limewire.
Copy them from the folder into the mp3 player drive *music* (find this under "my computer folder").

Or just come over and bring me beer.
