I stopped by the kent lake boat launches Monday to see how they looked. They are low. I have a 16' tracker and I could not lauch at the west launch at all. In fact, not all of the floating docks are even in yet.
At the east launch there was only one slip that looked like i might be able to. The rest were too shallow.
Now I don't have 4 wheel drive on my truck so that makes some difference cause I can't back in as far but......
A longer boat would reach out farther than I can to get to deeper water. Most of the east lauch was 1' deep at the end of the docks.
The guy at the toll booth said that they were raising the water levels now, and they should be all the way up in two weeks.
There were two boats on the lake Monday afternoon. Both looked like shallow draft vessels from a distance. Both had launched at the east launch.

I stopped by yesterday to look at the water levels and they are down, but you can get in on the East launch, the dock furthest to the right is the only launch I go in and out of...and that's pretty much year round. If you can squeeze into the launch directly next to the sea wall, you will have no problem getting in or out. I have a 2wd Trailblazer and I can launch my 18ft Statos there with no problem (ok...I just knocked on wood because I probably just cursed myself). I'll be out there Thursday and will post if I have any problems.
