Hey there everyone this is Cory Kovacs from the MDNR with this weeks fishing report.
From Metro Beach down to the 400 club fishing is still productive for walleye and perch. It is slowing down a bit because of the weather, but limits are still being caught. Boats are using crawler harnesses trolling and drifting when the wind is slow enough. Crankbaits have actually been productive for walleye. Boats have been casting into shallower waters and picking up some fish.

From 11 mile down to Grosse Pointe there have been some walleye picked up trolling with crawler harnesses and drifting also. One boat came in with their limit from the Memorial Park area using crankbaits. Fishing is also slow in this area.

One reminder is that bass season still is not open yet. Opening day for the lake and major rivers is June 21st. This is getting close so lets be patient because the season is long after that.
Thanks everyone and good luck this week. Cory
