Hello All,

Last weekend's Musky tournament was a hell of an event! I fished it with my friend Andy Copland from Just Fish Guide Service. We had a great 2 days on the water weather wise and Musky wise. 10 Skis with the biggest being 48.25 inches. Surprisely that fish didn't even place in the top 5 because there were 7 50+ inchers caught over the weekend! We ended up in 8th. A friend of ours Fisheye's Boat landed a 53.5 incher but amazingly that was the 2nd place Musky! There were 22 Legal Musky caught (44+) and well over 100 under legal fish caught by the 96 people in the tourney.

Mid day Saturday's pig roast was to die for! The food was amazing and the folks did a great job organizing the tourney, food and prizes for all who entered.

There was also a can good drive for the Belle River Food Bank and 1480 cans goods were collected by the anglers. Muskies Inc Central Ohio also donated $1000. Very impressive show for a great cause.

Overall it was a excellent tournament with great people, great food, great prizes and oh course great Musky Fishing on Lake St. Clair!!!!

Can't wait for next year!!!!!

53.5" fish doesn't win the tournament, WHO WOULD THINK IT!

I've never met him, but he's a great guy. Andy - you should try and get over to Wheatley for our boys weekend July 24-26th. Great bunch of guys. Trying to convince Paul to at least stop by fish camp for a few pops.
THOSE ARE SOME GOOD LOOKING SKI'S !!!!!!!! IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS WAS ONE HELLUVA WEEKEND TO BE ON THE WATER FISHING FOR THEM....

Yup that is crazy that a 53.5 incher is second place!

It just goes to show you just how awesome the Musky fishing on LSC is. Not the fish of 100 trolling hours in our backyard that is for sure!

Can't wait to get back out there and net some slime!

Pete
Pete,

Were the fish mesured on a bump board with a picture??
Yes, all Musky especially legal ones had to be measured and photographed.

The tournament organizers gave every angler a package that included all needed to properly document the fish caught during the 2 days.

This way all Muskies were released unharmed and safe to attack another bait or bait fish!

Pete
Nice job on all the releases. South shore is getting some bigger fish now that the temps are higher.
