I blame a LOT of the "lemon law" results squarely on the DEALERS.

I took an Olds Intrigue in once for a front wheel bearing issue. After a couple of "no problem found" trips, the dealer "insisted" it was a problem with a gear in the transmission and tore the transmission apart. It took SIX trips to the dealer (finally taking it to a DIFFERENT dealer) to get the transmission leaks fixed (from their earlier 'repair') and the wheel bearing changed (which WAS the original problem!). I have heard numerous similar stories from other people. After this little fiasco, the car was awesome for the next 100K+ miles.

(and btw, it was the BOB SUCKS dealer in Farmington)
