And for all tournament winners...I'm going to be giving a seminar in the parking lot on the things you have to do to not be tied up at the weigh-in waiting to see if you're going to place...things like "dulling" you hook points....nicking your line the first 10 ft or so, installing eye ties on the tail ends of your hard baits to get that special unique action, and a whole host of other proven tournament losing techniques!

Sorry but wanted to get the post back to the top and have some fun too!

Dave,

You can join me in a seminar anytime you want.....I actually think that could be a good topic..."What NOT to do for successful tournament fishing". I know I have more experience "losing" tournaments than I do winning them....lol

Thanks John...appreciate your kind invitation...

Hey, had an idea...know how when we go to Lowe's or Home Depot, and they have these "how to" seminars...like how to lay a tile floor; how to install a storm door, etc...as our "leader" what do you think about us developing a "how to" schedule for the off season, ...e.g., how/when to properly net fish; boat positioning and control in our type of water; how to fish in wind/waves; how to fish in non-wind/waves; how to drive a high speed small boat in rough water; proper bassboat setup; and on and on...If Tom and the Outdoor World folks were in agreement we could have a "series" over the cold weather months with regular weekend forums there (or somewhere else for that matter)...maybe include some things like how to get started panfishing (for the youngsters)....

I know there are periods of seminars, but I'm envisioning something like a whole schedule over a few months that touch on some of the more esoteric aspects of fishing and competitive fishing....

Any merit in these thoughts????? If so, would the LCSN fishing folks agree to participate?

They do have a series of seminars that you can sign up for already (Outdoor Workshops), but the topics are geared towards beginning fisherman and are usually not so species orientated. I will mention this to the GM and Promotions Manager this weekend.

You can check the BPS Outdoor World Detroit home page for info on the schedules of classes at any time.
