My girlfriend and I have been trying to golf once a week after work... and are tired of the same two golf courses close to home; Oakridge and Salt River...

May scoot to Maple Lane today~but that's all I know of that's public and close.

Anybody suggest something new to try? Not looking to drive to the west side or anything....

muchas gracias. *curtsey*

i was just out at cedar glenn in new baltimore yesterday. take 94 to 26 mile, get off the freeway and turn right on the first dirt road on the right. follow that down one mile and you're there. the course is pretty easy i hear.

tell bob i sent ya. he's a really nice guy.

Golden Hawk is cool. It's close to Oakridge.
Ceader Glenn is alright, also close to you.

If you guys are ready for a tough one, Rattle Run is way cool.
I wish I could drive from the red tees

Really like Rattle Run! Beautiful and lots of places to get diverted... like walking through those old model homes...

I guess if you're going to Oakridge Rattle isn't that much further.

thanks for the cedar glenn; she lives out that way I"ll ask if she's been to that one; though I don't think so.

Tee time @ Rattle Run 5:56

$21 for 9 with a cart after 3...

And I was just told by a co-worker that if I go to lastminutegolfer.com I can get some sweet deals if I book 24 hours in advance! Next week will try that out!

What shape was the course in?
I always liked that course, but the last time I was there is was in such awful shape that I haven't gone back since.

Golden Hawk - 94/26ish Mile
Rattle Run - 94/North of 26 (St. Clair Exit)
St. Clair Shores has a city course that is nice.

Just go to detroitgolfer.com and there is a listing.

Remind me, next time I see you I will give you a full listing of public courses in Michigan!

How difficult of a course do you want.

Cherry Creek = 24mile and m-53

Glacier club = 27 1/2 mile and Campground road

The Orchards = 29 mile and Campground road

Greystone = 32 mile and Mound road

Romeo Golf Course = 32 mile and just east of m-53

The list can go on.

Tee 'em high and let 'em fly girl!

Well, I think the course is pretty spectacular! There were several times I just sat back and looked around appreciating the view and listening to the wildlife...

No Idea what I scored; know only that it was high! And we got thunderstormed out near the end but held on and drank beer under the bridge between the 17th and 18th hole for awhile.

LOVE THAT GAME!

We are going to do a different course every week now! Thanks again for the suggestions; they will be used!
