Has anybody EVER been stopped for loud exaust on the lake before bt John Q. Law?

I have been stopped and checked out for safety equipment before, but never was bothered for the exaust.

If anybody out there is loud....it's that purple 2000 hp Hustler. You can hear him in St.Clair Shores from Harley Ensign launch. I Love it!

The guy that bought my first baja got busted his first time out. It was 115 decibels at idle. 525hp roller motor...little loud. I heard the limit was 90 decibels at idle 1 meter behind the boat. And yes Hustler Tom's boat is the loudest.

I met "Hustler Tom" a couple years ago at Walkers. Real nice guy. He let me check out his boat. Actually he insisted that I come over and check out his boat. Let's just say, him and his group were REALLY having a good time that day.

Thanks for that link Ed. I did use it during the powerloading debacle, but forgot about it. It's now been added to my favorites. Have you visited our boats lately?

Bill,
I'm off Friday and plan to visit them. Have you seen my posts regrding outdrive painting here and at OSO ? What I thought was going to be a simple sandblast and paint has evolved into a lot of sanding I'm afraid.
So any chance you left a few beers on the boat ?

I did see those posts on oso. I was going to reply that a 60 mph pass over Sand Island would take most of the paint off, but thought that might not be good advice. I have the opposite problem in that I can't seem to keep paint on my skegs.

As for beer, you might find an empty one but that's about it.
