What are the ice conditions and are there any ramps open? I know ice changes daily, but has anyone been out ?

It will be a month before it's safe to boat.

I heard there were a few bass boats out of Bolles Harbor this past weekend.

There is a warm water dis-charge just north of the ramp so the ice is cleared quicker. But north of that i haven't heard of anything.

Was down at Lockemans Hardware and Boats today talking with Dave Zammit, they have been on the river since 2/22/04. Small ice flows, but mostly clear in the Trenton Channel. Spoke to a gentleman running a new Evinrude Etec motor. He claims awesome power for a 40 hp on his boat and very quiet. It will be soon. I will be down on Gunterville next week, hoping to catch some of those hogs the pros left there.

Meaning the ice flows will be gone for safe boating.
Don't need to be looking for big hunks of ice ready to jam your boat.

LOL Alex i hope your right. I got my new licence.

If they have been on the rivier since 2/22 then our wager about the first walleye catch in the channel is out the window.
