Heck we can't sand our boat without a tent over it.

About the only thing the storage folks will (should) accept responsibility for is if your boat falls off the stands. Everything else is for your insurance.

Nothing like a little piece of mind knowing no matter what happens, they don't care.

Why do I always find myself on the wrong side of these???

I wouldn't count on your marina even accepting responsibility if your boat falls off the stands in storage... at our marina there is a fight going on over exactly that. Boat's damaged (hull & frame, wood boat), fell off stands during spring thaw, boater has no insurance (and has owned same boat for 50 yrs), and marina is denying liability. Likely gonn'a wind up in court ($$$).

So if you spend a total of 14 days on the boat during the year you are considered living on it? That's strange.

Considered a second home for tax purpose, same as an RV
