We watched Channel 2 at ten o'clock and saw nothing. We watched Channel 4 at eleven and saw nothing. Read the paper this morning and saw nothing. Considering we were setting a new world record I thought sure there'd be a lot of media coverage. There were a lot of rapes, murders, car crashes as usual but not a word or photo of the Moot. Did we miss something? Would Channel 4 have been happier if we were all falling down drunk, raping, murdering and shooting heroin as they seem to think most boaters do per their previous coverage of Jobbie Nooner? Anyhow, we had a great time. We tied up with the Big Red Bus Driver (purely by accident) and also met Delsocruz. Saw Hammer in his very fashionable orange T-shirt collecting forms. Hope everyone had as good a time as we did and arrived back in port safe and sound!

Sadly enough, the media attitude is, "if it bleeds, it leads." They would rather show rapes and murders than a record-breaking charity event.

I bet we'll get a nice write up down in Lake Norman.

Up here, nothing. <_<

I didn't even see anything on the Festival of Lights.

BIG NEWS FLASH- as reported in the front section in todays Free Press along with a photo:

Taiwan beat the world record for the largest drum ensemble by gathering 1,899 drummers to perform for 30 minutes in Tainan, located in southern Taiwan. The previous record was set in Japan.

I must say it came together nicely, we stayed over night and it all connected well. I was connected to Beachbum and Dancing Girl...lots of smiles ..a definite must do. I thought I saw a boat out there early morning with CBS on it's side.

Better yet, Raftguy can fill as many rafts as he can with chicks in thongs and have record for the longest line of butt cheeks.

Detroit News is doing a follow up article tomorrow, Brian and I just got off the phone with the reporter. Once it's demonstrated what the event is and was, people will be jumping on the bandwagon, I'm already hyped at what next year will bring.

Funny the News stations will cover
Jobbie Nooner and talk about how bad
boaters are but when you do something good
and pull all the boaters together to break a world
record they dont cover it. Great Job to the
that set it up. I was out of town but heard it
was a sight to see. my 2 cents

Where's Kevin Dietz now, the jacka$$. He made boaters look bad with his under cover crap at Jobbienooner, why not show what we did for charity and how hard the volunteers worked the raft.

Nocode was everywhere, thanks for time you spent out there hustling, it is appreciated by all of us more than you know.
