QUOTE(bobrob20 @ Dec 25 2003, 11:12 AM)QUOTE(Cocktails&Dreams @ Dec 25 2003, 12:02 AM) I just wanted to be one of the first to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. this Christmas Eve was the best, It was the first year that I was able to celebrate it on the boat. Fortunately dinner was at my sisters and because she lives on the Clinton River, I was able to go by boat.
I have attached a couple of photos, but since it was snowing when we took them, they have lots of spots on them.
I will probably be doing another little cruise on friday night to the Crews Inn and Bumpers. If anyone is interested, the boat is decorated and ready to go.
Again, I hope everyone has the Merriest of Christmas's
wow is the river frozen? would be cool to go if theres no ice
The river is wide open!! Instigator knows what we do if the river freezes tonight, we break it!!
It is supposed to be clear and 40 tommorrow and a little warmer on Saturday.
I will probably start heading down the River at 7pm. We will take abouty a half hour ride up the river and then turn around and head back towards the mouth. After we reach the mouth, we will turn around again and head over to the Crews Inn, Bumpers and Mariners Boat Club. We should reach the bars around 8:30.
It is really kind of neat going down the river this time of year, especially with the boat lit up! People come out of houses and wave and take pictures. Yesterday we even had a couple of people with video cameras.
If anyone would like to go for the ride, I will guarentee that you will have a great time. It is not as cold as you might think, you are being blocked from the wind and we are going pretty slow. I will bring a coffee pot so that we can make some warmer drinks if needed.
PM or call me for directions, the boat is in a covered well on North River Rd, it is not at my house.
Hope to some dedicated boaters tomorrow.
