Lived in N Fla for 15 years and never saw a king on the beach!
That's a monster too, and would have probably won many of the kingfish tourneys.
What were you using for bait, Pogeys?

what size reel were you using. the reason they are so rare from the beach at that size is you need to chase them down. spanish macks are common from the beach/piers but def not kings. nice fish bro.

I used an Alutecnos 50/80 spooled with 1500yds of 100lb Power Pro.

I caught him on half of a bonita that was intended for a big shark.
