Stoped by Munchies Bay in Fair Haven last night to see a large barge and crane outfitted for what seems to be a party for this weekend. It looked pretty cool. There was some kind of body harness connected to the bottom of the crane. The riders on the crane swing were getting some nice air.

We are probably headed back there today, if you are in the area we'll be monitoring channel 69.

We can see the crane but didn't know what it was there for. Thought maybe someone was about to get a new seawall..but then...we wondered why it was in the middle of the bay ???

Don't know if we'll be out today or not...but if we are, we'll likely swing by there.

That thing was a blast.

I went to school with the crane operator/owner. I see his barges parked everywhere, doing seawalls and stuff but never seen one out there like that. They had a barbecue, a little bar and an outhouse. They even built a bon fire on it around 10:00-10:30ish.

Due to the wind Sunday there were no rides though...

I saw that on its way across Anchor Bay on Friday (I think it was that one). I wondered where it was headed.

We were at Munchies both Sat and Sun. Couldn't believe it Saturday when they started swinging the kids. It was like watching an amusement park ride in the middle of Munchies. Very cool stuff. Looked like everyone on the barge was having a great time. Unfortunately, winds were kicking a bit on Sunday so they weren't swinging anybody.
