Casting between selfridge & the salt today 5-7' of water from 5:30-9PM. Wind was coming out of the east when we started casting. Casting perch colored 8" bucktail. Got a nice hit about 6:30 in 7' stained water fish followed lure to the boat was approx. 40" fish, tried to do a circle but stopped reeling just before I started to move the pole. The lure dropped and the fish split in a hurry (wont do that again). Half hour later had a 12-13" muskie follow it up, couldnt belive it. The wind then changed direction and started blowing out of the south, U could see rain and dark clouds south of us but nothin too close. Half hour later had a 20" pike follow, then caught a 15" pike 15 minutes later. Then just about 9 had a 3 footer follow the lure up, I belive it was a pike but not sure. It was sprinkling and a dark cloud was getting close so we headed in about 15 minutes afterward. I probably should have tried a different color bucktail but was getting steady action on the perch color so casted it the whole day.
