I wasnt going to go out today. then about 12 something we decided to go. got to the lake first cast around 1:30. I wanted to try new water. just drift and cast cover lots of water fast as possible. first drift I decided to try alittle deeper. and was about to move when I see somethng on the GPS that looked could possible hold a fish. I get closer and the water was clear so i throw on a black bucktail with 2 silver blades and first or 2nd cast I had a fish crush it. did some head shakes.my girlfirend says what do I do. GET THE NET!!.. it did 2 good jumps I was thinking mid 40s all the way until it got to the boat and I see it was bigger than i thought. it did a couple major runs my girlfriend had the net deep into the water and I just told her to keep it there I will put the fish in the net..luckily we got it in. it measured 48". then she catches a small bass. not too long later I changed up to my firetiger bucktail. and felt a tap and set the hook hard into a big fish. it comes out of the water. huge head and long. . the fish was coming toward me so it got to the boat quick. and dove down under the boat to the bottom and wouldnt budge for a sec. until it got off after a head shake. I dont like to guess how big fish are til they are in the boat.. but it was the biggest fish ive seen this year.. i was disapointed but. you cant land em all. ended the day with my girlfriend catchin a 33 inch and I caught another little one. fish were in about 10 feet of water
