Let the bass have a break and harassed some of you guys' pets today for a few hrs.

Saw 8 or 9 fish, mostly smallish and none landed. Had a little guy come clear out of the water after I had lifted the bait to make another cast. So I dropped it back down and he pummeled it. At only about 25" I kinda "shook" him free and that was the closest I came all day. No slime.

Calm in the AM, windy in the PM.

Where you in Anchor Bay? A couple of boats waved at me today like they knew me, but I didn't know them. You've got a Cat right?

I was blanked today. Started in the Bay and then went down lake and got the **** knocked out of me. Dog fell out of the boat (not on plane, just drifting and he's fine; he's a lab so he can swim!) once it was so bad down the lake.

Yeah that was me in Anchor Bay. I was going to come over and say hi when I saw you put your rod in the rod sock, but you took off for parts unknown!

You didn't miss much.

I run a Champion which does kinda look like a Cat - at least more than a Ranger.

Aw heck man I wish I would've known it was you. I knew you had one of the brands of boats I'd have if I didn't have a Ranger. I like Cats and I think Champions are great big water boats. Next time holler at me, "ESOXFLY!!!!" Do that and I'll know you're from LSCN and and we can meet on the trolling motors and put a face with the name.

My boat sticks out pretty well so people know me, but there's so many other Lund's, Alumacrafts, Ranger bass boats, and so on with members here not to mention non-members and they all look the same from 100 yds away. About the only boats I can pick out at distance were Steve's Scout flats boat and Muskyhound's Tuffy tiller. Everyone else I leave alone because for example, I know TEK has a nice Lund, but if I waved at every Lund I saw my arm would fall off. So next time flag me down or come on over like TEK did yesterday.

ESOX - I'll sure try to get over to you next time. We were going to make a move about the same time we saw you making a move, but you moved too quickly! I'm glad the dog is OK. I usually tie mine to front pedestal seat or she'd be in the drink in about negative 3 seconds!

Pride (my dog) is hooked up with his life jacket on when I'm on the big motor, but fishing, he's loose in the boat. He knows to stay in until I let him jump in to cool off. That's why it was so funny today. I was fishing and I hear all kinds of commotion and SPLASH! He was on the front deck behind me and didn't balance well enough and hit the drink.
