I met junkster at the launch at 7. we fgured we would fish til the winds kicked us off the lake again. first 2 hours nothing. then 2 follows. next 4 hours nothing at all. I was just sayin 6 hours in and not one fish boated something is up. actually I had a bass in the boat but Dale said it didnt count.. I was changing my lure when Dale sets the hook on something he said was a bass. turns out the bass was a 38" musky. caught on a black bucktail.. we quickly took a pic and got a measurement and sent the fish on its way. less than 5 minutes later I was watching my bucktail coming throught the water when I see something erupt out of nowhere 10 feet from the boat. all I see it the fish grab my bucktail and turn. I set the hook it came at me head shakin did a dive. came up went and did a big head shakin jump. went on a couple more runs and finally she was in the net.measured 48"........ after 2 fish in 5 minutes we laughed about the fact of not seeing a fish for so long. thats how it goes sometimes. Musky can turn on at any time. You just have to wait it out and hope your in the right spot at the right time. luckily today we were in the right spot. we drifted across the 2 we caught plus 2 more good fish that hit and one that followed. all fish were within a hundred feet or so of eachother. 10' of water.

Hey Spinner,
Glad to hear you got a few landed. Just read the story/report with the wife. I'd say she's hooked now. Wants to read all the reports. I think it's going to make things tough for my buddies and Jason??????
