I would think there are good areas on both sides. I did a little jigging in the spring on the US. I did not get any bites but that is muskie fishing sometimes. I am sure DRP will be able to chime in on this with some good advice for you.

There's a LOT of musky on the Michigan side from the middle river down to Erie.

There's musky there for the taking.
Plenty of musky are caught there during the spring walleye run. Next Bite did a show on the DR & they fished that spot as well. Here's the VIDEO

There are some excellent US spots in that river. My 55" this June was caught in US waters down river. It has been a really good year, and with all the little ones, expect down the road to be good.
