Went out today from 0900 - 1300 hours. Went two for three. All fish were released. Fished off the mile roads. Water was silky green and clear. Not too bad on the weeds or pods of fish flies like I had the other day.

First fish came at 1015, wash rod, 10/08, 15ft, water temp 61, T3-Guacamole.

Second fish at high noon, wash rod 10/08, almost the same spot/same lure.

Last fish 1250, off the board (up high) 25/03, further South but same temp, T3-Carp.

Lost that last fish due to inexperience. Fish was taking line and dumb ole me had to tighten the drag even more. Dumb, dumb, dumb. I should know better but I wanted that fish. Saw a couple of boats taking fish. Good day - "for me".

Hey Chris you should have stop on that two fish spot and do some casting. Who knows you might have caught their Grandmother.

Hey Bob,

I recently bought one of your bucktails on ebay and I was impressed with the weedless hooks. Can you tell me how well of a hookup they get with the plastic guarding?? I had a buddy lose a real big fish up on Anchor bay on it several weeks ago.

Thanks

Hi ya Marc. Those plastic tubes on your bucktail are for packaging purposes. They are to be removed.

No Bob, I was taught to respect my elders and that includes "Grandma's". Lousy day today. Wind was tough, the boards thought they were submarines and the waves almost knocked me out of the boat. Only lasted about an hour and a half and pulled the lines. Between the weeds and the waves it wasn't worth it - not. Still had a nice day. Took the wife out and brought a camera but the fishing was naught. Pulled into the bay and caught some "bait fish". Nothing of any size but did not want to go back to the dock with a spanking.

Have a good week Bob. Met someone at the Marina today who knew you - name was Walter. Said he fished with you some years back. Just a couple of years younger than you. I think he said his wife's name was Martha. Ring a bell??

OK Marc you know I did that dumb thing myself a couple of weeks ago. It was a real big fish. I know Larry Chris and his wife. He is more than a couple of years younger than me. He is a nice fellow. I had a bad day today as you said the wind was terrible. Lost a big fish at Grassy plus only had two other hits. The fish flies are the reason for the poor fishing. I'm booked Wed thru Fri with two guys from Florida and I sure hope I get them into some fish. I know T.N.T. Oop's no humor sorry. Let it Go Let it Grow. Bob
