[rant]So I'd like to pass a big ol'
to the slobs who tossed their Bacardi Bottle, Johnny Walker Red bottle, Miller Lite Case, and other garbage I found floating while out jet skiing early Sunday morning in Poor Man's. Why is it so hard to not throw stuff overboard? I don't get it.
A big thanks to the boats who took the trash from me and hauled it in.

I hate litterbugs. Pigs. [/rant]
Yeah it was bad, a lot of "junk" was floating around when we went for our dinghy ride
Our Marina (BMH) looked a lot better than last year after the fireworks. Definately a more controlled crowd.
I went kayaking down the Platte river last weekend and nothing bothers me more than seeing bald eagles and empty beer cans in the same river. Not a lot of cans but enough to make me get wet cleaning them up.
Well when you throw stuff in the water it sinks or floats away into outer space right??? I have thrown stuff in the water under influenced situations but still am disgusted when I see the garbage. Just because you throw it in the lake and it sinks doesn't mean its not there. Put your damn garbage in a bag and throw it away the proper way!!!!!
I smoke ,i put my cigarettes butts in the ash tray that i have on swim plate form. That disqust me to no end.Beer cans and liquor bottles ( WHAT ARE PEOPLE THINKING ) OH YA THERE NOT HOW ABOUT HAVE A GARBAGE TRUCK PULL UP ON A SHORE DUMP THERE LOAD ( WHAT THE DIFFERENCE )
Speaking of which, we went to Gull Island today and it was DISGUSTING! I've seen trash on the island, but never like this. We ended up leaving it stunk so bad. I don't think we'll be visiting there again any time soon, what a shame
We stopped by Gull Island today and couldn't even stand it out there. It was just covered with garbage sacks over flowing with paper, bottles, food debris, and just filthy junk. It smelled like rotting flesh with maggot infested meat. I am not kidding what so ever. I don't know how the other folks there could stand it?! Bottles, can's, paper, plastic, and feces filled diapers were just scattered all over the island. This was the worst I have ever seen it. To those people that have ever left there crap out on that island.........
YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF YOURSELVES
The island is so small because of the water levels this year, and to leave your garbage and and crap out there is one of the most pathetic things as a boater/human you to could do. Keep it up who ever you are. Next thing you know they will shut that island down because of this and more. I am so unhappy about this it makes me sick!

You didn't see any shirts laying out there did you?
I remember when know one really went to Gull and how nice and clean it was....
Okay, the clothes are one thing, you can probably say they were left behind on accident or someone was too drunk and walked to the other side and then just left not knowing where they left their shirt / shorts. But the diapers???? come on
I forgot swim diapers this last weekend when we went swimming in Fisher's Bay....we had a bag full of wet blown up diapers because I changed them everytime she got out of the water and the damn bag weighed probably 50 pounds by the end of the day.....cannot imagine just chucking it overboard.
As far as the Gull Island overnighter goes, we talked about it after we left and it's probably not going to happen (we won't plan it anyway). I have no desire to spend that much time there. It's full of stagnant water, obviously above mentioned trash and there isn't a lot of sand to hang out on.

I thought that a couple weeks ago when I was on the island
no desire to go there
