ok, guys, what age were you when you looked at your first playboy?

once you saw it, did you want more?

how about Victoria's Secret, how many 13-16 year old males take care of business with that magazine?

or the sears catalog?

problem with these magazines is (playboy - must be 18 to buy and all advertising focused to older crowd, and Victorias Secret, I doubt many 13-16 year old boys are buying the product), all the advertising $$$ and costs are wasted on these youngsters that look at the magazine

why not have a semi-nudie (ok, thong and lingerie) girlie magazine targeted at the early teen boy? sure it's controversial, mom probably wouldn't like it, but would that stop the 14 year old boy from buying it from the local book shop?

the advertising could be targeted to the age demographic, the boys/young men are going to look at the playboys/victorias secret anyway, why not advertise to that crowd

ok, just give me editorial control and you can run with the idea................

but those mags have cigarette and liquor ads, most are targeted at 18+ year old, im talking 13-18, similar type magazine, maybe more broads

are the 15 year olds reading how to pick up hoe's at the local club or what type of cigar is the best?

no

are they sporting armani suits and gucci watches

no

that is not stuffs, maxim, fhm target crowd

there is no magazine focused on mainly hot broads for the 13-18 years old male crowd

No, they are not learning how to pick up chicks at bars, or which cigar is the best, but they are not necessarily buying miracle bra's or craftsmen compound miter saws... they are using the magazines to get a job done, not to shop. Therefore, it doesn't matter what the content is. (I don't know this from personal experience)
That being said, I still like the idea

exactly, thats why those advertising dollars are wasted on those punks pulling one to those pictures

my magazine would exploit this known fact that they are smaking the weasel to these pics and barrage them with ads targeted directly at their demographic

That sounds like a lot of work w/o much advertising $$ (if I read that right)

Why not just get a web site going? I am so infatuated with your wife and single now:) We could have a lot of fun together
I think the $$ would roll in faster via internet. We could start off soft (PG-13) and maybe progress into something, well, use your imagination

hmmm.. I'd have to think about that, I guess you'd have to come over for a "trial", you know, work the pole (in the basement), work the wife, I'll evaluate the pictures (that I would be taking) and evaluate the idea

An old neighbor and friend of mine from highschool tried it. He had a promotional copy made and it went in the metro times as a tv-guide type of add in. It didn't work because advertisers for the demographic didn't go with the pics. "Girls in underwear don't sell video games."

If i'm gonna have that kind of fun it'll be one-on-one.

As for the pole

I think you're on to something, Goose. I saw our 10-year old son trying to covertly look at the cover of Stuff...

Take a magazine like that and add:
- GameBoy, PS-2, etc. hints and tips
- video game reviews
- pictures of shiny cars, boats, motorcycles, ATVs
- interviews and articles about Lord of the Rings
- articles about building muscle, getting rid of zits, etc.
- articles about basketball
- comics/pictures showing physical humor (think [email protected]$$)

and I would bet the male 11-17 y.o. age group would snap it up.

the articles could be like:

"How to get your older brother to buy beer for you"

"Now that you've made it to second base, how to get her to third"

"Tricks on sneaking from the parents liquor cabinet and not getting caught"

"25 phonecall excues to use when faking calling in sick to school"

"Parents found your weed - tell them you are holding it for a friend (and other tips)"

"True life story - My prom dates bra was stuffed - I came out with a handfull of kleenex."

Goose...
Having a 6 year old son... I have to tell you... I't's hard enough for me to keep him from grabbing himself and keeping his hands out of his own pants. You want me to walk in on him when hes 13-15 ,doing Lord knows what , to your magazine. I know its probably Gonna happen any way... But I would feel much better knowing you didn't have anything to do with it!

Ok Goose, killer idea, I'm need of more money making ventures, I'd be happy to go into business with you. Secondly, I think we should throw Melly Jo into the mix with Dookie and Amy and we have a helluva website rollin!

unfortunatly, it costs mega bucks to get a "real" magazine off and running

but with thinking like this who needs a magazine

let's just do the photo shoot as you say and keep the pictures for ourselves

i see it as a win-win proposal!!!!
