An opera composed by.....................

Camille Saint-Saëns (1835-1921)
Bacchanale from Samson and Delilah

Also Samson and Delilah.........
Covered by The Greatful Dead.......
The Reverend Gary Davis and the earliest known recording by Blind Willie Johnson.

Samson and Delilah
lived a long
long time ago.
She was undecided
but man that hair just had to go.
Na

na...
Ain't no glory in this fable
like the story Cane and Abel
Samson's gonna turn the tables.

Samson had a feeling
that God would guide his feeble hand.
Man you should 've seen him
pushin' pillars from the stand.

On the Friday evening
things were going mighty fine
then he started sleeping
'cos she slipped something in the wine.
Na

Samson neatly turned the tables.

Believe it or not, but he was Hammer before there was a MC Hammer~!

Maybe now that I defended him the death will be a quick one for me.

I've got the best one. Actually it gets to be a pain the a$$ when people insist on singing to me like I never heard it before.
